Therapy Session

Registered Psychotherapist MA, RP

As a committed and passionate Psychotherapist, your well-being and mental strength is my number one priority. I’m happy to guide you through all of life’s challenges with the attention and care you deserve.

My name is Nilou Nikou and I am a Registered Psychotherapist and in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and the Ontario Mental Health Association. I have been serving clients for 8 years helping them through their unique issues or life transitions. I have extensive experience dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship or family problems, addictions, pain or other health problems and work/occupational stress.

As someone who has always been the go-to for advice, trust and confidence within friends and family, I have always loved and cared for the wellbeing of others. I understand that each and every one of us deals with a particular problem in different and unique ways. My therapeutic style is very collaborative, compassionate, judgement-free and hands-on. Sometimes all we need is guidance, more insight and awareness into our actions and behaviours as well as novel perspectives!

I work primarily with adults and adolescents on an individual, couples and family basis. My primary mode of therapy is Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Relaxation Therapy. I work towards meeting clients' unique and individual needs and collaboratively working towards living the life they always planned.

"As a professional therapist, I vow to provide you with a safe, judgment-free environment where you will feel comfortable to open up and talk about your experiences".
